Neck Pain

Neck pain is often most frustrating when it changes how you move through the day. You notice it when you turn to check mirrors, look down at a phone, sit at a desk, or wake up after sleep.

Pattern

Common neck pain triggers

Some people feel a stiff, locked sensation when turning the head. Others feel a deep ache that builds through the day that transfers into the shoulders, upper back, or jaw. Neck pain can also show up as headaches that start at the base of the skull, or as a sharp pinch with looking up or looking down.

Symptom clusters
These are common patterns people report. Your exam clarifies which ones matter and what they mean.

  • Tightness that spreads into the upper back or between the shoulders
  • Shoulder tightness that builds during desk work
  • Headaches that start at the base of the skull
  • Head pressure that increases with posture or screen time
  • Jaw tightness or clenching that seems tied to neck tension
  • Morning stiffness that improves after moving around
  • Pain that flares after sleep in one position
Plan

Comfortable head movement

We measure neck motion and identify which directions reproduce symptoms. We also assess muscle tone, joint irritation patterns, and how the shoulder blades and upper back are contributing to the load on your neck.

Care starts by reducing irritability so movement feels safer. Then we restore usable motion and build strength and control so your neck does not keep getting re irritated by work, driving, or sleep positions.
